「またも８０歳男性」　　活動記録

午後、とある集会に参加。

『循環型社会に戦争はいらない』
最近良く言われることですが、戦争は猛烈な環境破壊です。
劣化ウランに限らず、ただの爆薬であっても生態系を一瞬にして大きく破壊します。
また人間関係も大きく破壊します。戦争犯罪の加害者も被害者もともに被害者です。

さて、その集会のメインゲストは中谷孝さん８５歳です。

会が始まる前に、ご挨拶させていただいたが、とても８５歳には見えない。小柄でいらっしゃるが、姿勢は良く、体躯に張りがある。話声もはっきりしており、言葉も明確、耳も遠くはないように拝察しました。６０代といってもおかしくない印象でした。この元気さはなんだろう。どうしてこのようにかくしゃくとしておられるのか。そう思う時、やはり、ものを考える力だと思わないではいられません。中谷さんの発言は、ご自分の体験を明治来の日本の戦争の歴史に中に位置づけたものでした。それは、ご自身の体験をただ回顧するのではなく、対象化し、そのことで他者にも理解可能なものにするという作業でもあったでしょう。その営為を８０を越えてなお実践しようという、その意思の力が中谷さんを支えておられるのだと、実感しました。

その全体の力にくらべれば、南京大虐殺に関する証言は（もちろん重要ではありますが）ほんの些細なことだと、得心しました。それなのに、戦後世代は右も左もなんという愚かなことでしょう。南京大虐殺は「なかった」だからあの戦争は悪くない。あるいは逆に南京大虐殺は「あった」だからあの戦争は悪い。みなさんはこの落とし穴におちていませんか。

中谷さんは、今後も公にお話されることと思います。

奥村さんが宇野重吉系の性格俳優のような魅力だとすれば、中谷さんは加藤剛系統の二枚目です。また思想的にもまったく異なるバックグラウンドを持ってらっしゃるように思います。それでもなお、自己の経験と歴史、また生きる全ての人々への誠実という点で深く深く共通しているのです。

カッコイイ。

今日の活動、
神さん（Bridge for PEACE）と星野さん（環境パートナーシップオフィス）にチラシを託す。
中谷さんに蟻の話をする。
新潟から集会にいらした方にチラシをわたし、自主上映の際はよろしくとお話しする。

できなかったこと。
ふぇみん（元婦人民主新聞）にいけなかった。クレヨンハウスにもいったのに、チラシ交渉するのを忘れた。いかん。

しかし、本日で、チラシ1000枚配布終了しました。
すごくない？山ちゃんさんやyumiさんにはどかっとおくったからなあ。でも100枚くらい？
マンモさんが200もってってくれた。今日が200かな。しんさんにも50くらいか。さらに寺子と泉津だ。とすると、あと300くらいはちょぼちょぼ撒いてる間になくなったんだ。

権さん、また送ってください。
